Water Well Trust: Media invited to La Plata well drill and volunteer event supporting local family

Waterboys’ HometownH2O program joins Ferguson Enterprises to bring safe, reliable drinking water to the LaBille family.

LA PLATA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--A family of six, including four young children, will soon receive a new residential well after their existing home water system became unreliable. Media are invited to attend a June 2nd well drill and volunteer workday as Waterboys, an initiative of The Chris Long Foundation, partners with Ferguson and Water Well Trust to help bring safe, dependable drinking water to the LaBille family. The project is part of Waterboys’ HometownH2O program, which addresses domestic water access challenges in U.S. households, communities and schools. Ferguson associates will be on-site volunteering from 9 a.m. to noon to assemble play equipment for the family and complete landscaping projects, while project partners and local water professionals work to drill the new well. Christopher and Brittany LaBille and their four children will benefit from a comprehensive project that includes a new water well, pump, and tank along with all necessary equipment, drilling and installation. The family has been experiencing a decline in their private water well for the past four years. Xylem Inc. is donating the pump, and the Vinyl Institute is donating the costs associated with the PVC casing that will be used. The Vinyl Institute is proud to support the HometownH2O program by contributing PVC well casing materials, helping to ensure a safe, durable, and reliable water infrastructure solution for the LaBille family.
