Industry Veteran to Lead Civil Engineering Growth Across New York and Southern Connecticut

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pennoni, a multidisciplinary, 100% employee-owned engineering firm, is pleased to announce the strategic hire of Ken DeGennaro, PE, as civil engineering Lead in the firm’s New York City office. In this role, DeGennaro will lead Pennoni’s civil engineering practice in the region, with a focus on expanding services across the greater NYC metropolitan area, Connecticut and New Jersey.

DeGennaro brings nearly three decades of experience in civil engineering to Pennoni, strengthening the firm’s ability to complement its established services with expanded civil engineering expertise. A licensed professional engineer in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, he has deep knowledge of the regulatory, technical and municipal landscapes across the greater New York metropolitan area.

DeGennaro joins Pennoni after serving as a partner at Brooker Engineering, PLLC, where he spent more than 15 years leading project management, business development, staff training, and client engagement efforts. Over his 32‑year career, he has delivered a wide range of projects, including municipal capital improvements, flood control and resiliency initiatives, site engineering, water and wastewater infrastructure and land development projects across New York and New Jersey. He frequently serves as the primary client contact and regularly presents complex projects to public agencies and land use boards.

In his new role, DeGennaro will oversee the growth and direction of Pennoni’s civil engineering group in Manhattan, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to support both public- and private‑sector clients.
