‘The Price Is Right’ Contestant Search Comes to Rivers Casino Philadelphia July 22

CBS3 partnership sends two fans to Los Angeles

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fans of television’s No. 1-rated daytime series, “The Price Is Right,” will have the chance to audition for an appearance on the iconic television game show during a special casting call at Rivers Casino Philadelphia. In collaboration with KYW-TV/CBS3, Rivers Philadelphia in Fishtown will host an open casting call in The Event Center on Wednesday, July 22, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Guests may begin lining up at 10 a.m.

“The Price Is Right” casting producers are looking for energetic, outgoing people to appear on a television taping of the long-running game show. Auditions are open to guests ages 18 and older who are legal U.S. residents.

Potential contestants will meet with producers and have approximately one minute to show off their personality, enthusiasm and excitement. Guests are encouraged to register in advance and can find additional information at CBS News/Philadelphia.

Following the auditions, producers from “The Price Is Right” will select two lucky semifinalists from the Philadelphia event to win travel to and accommodations in Los Angeles, where one of them will have a guaranteed chance to be a contestant on the show.

“The Price Is Right,” hosted by Drew Carey, is network television’s No. 1-rated daytime series and the longest-running game show in television history, on which audience members try to win cash and prizes. A lucky contestant recently won more than $240,000 in cash and prizes — the largest winnings in a single pricing game in the 54-year history of the daytime CBS show.

This will be Rivers Philadelphia’s fourth casting call for national network television shows in the past 15 months. Previous casting events have drawn attendees from throughout the Delaware Valley, with some hopefuls driving from locations such as New York and Atlantic City, and even flying in from France.
