Russell Quality Roofing Honors Lewiston Navy Veteran with Free Roof Installation Through Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project

Locally owned contractor partners with Owens Corning and Purple Heart Homes to provide a new roof for U.S. Navy veteran Patrick Santos Jr.

LEWISTON, Idaho--(BUSINESS WIRE)--On May 4, 2026, Russell Quality Roofing completed a donated roof installation for U.S. Navy veteran and retired law enforcement sergeant Patrick Santos Jr. at his home in Lewiston, Idaho. The project was part of the Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project, a nationwide initiative that honors military veterans and their families with new roofs.

Through a partnership with Purple Heart Homes, a nonprofit that provides housing solutions for service-connected disabled and aging veterans, Santos was selected and approved as the recipient for the roof replacement. The Owens Corning Foundation donated all roofing materials, and Russell Quality Roofing donated the labor to complete the installation in a single day.

The project also drew support from fellow Lewiston businesses. Living Waters Lawn & Landscape contributed grounds cleanup and maintenance at the Santos home, and Bill Jollymore of Jollymore’s Restaurant offered a complimentary dinner for the Santos family.

Since 2016, the Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project has provided new roofs to more than 775 military veterans across the country. Russell Quality Roofing has participated in the program multiple times, reflecting the company’s long-standing commitment to community service.
