During the conference, FICS' customers attended educational sessions focused on the newest ways to optimize FICS software, regulatory updates, and evolving best practices in the mortgage origination and servicing industry. The sessions provided valuable insights into leveraging technology to navigate today's complex mortgage landscape. Attendees heard from Fannie Mae® on Event-Based Reporting, FHLB on MPF updates and Borrower Assistance Strategies, and Freddie Mac® on investor reporting. These sessions provided timely guidance on regulatory changes impacting mortgage servicers and lenders in 2026.
The conference marked the first Users’ Conference under FICS’ new co-president leadership structure. Shalecia Callaway, Co-President and COO, and Aaron Lynch, Co-President and CTO, each addressed attendees, reaffirming the company's commitment to customer-driven development and continued investment in system performance and innovation.
"Our customers are operating in a demanding environment, and our job is to make sure our software is working proactively,” Callaway said. “Whether that means adding automation that reduces manual steps or staying ahead of regulatory process changes like what is on the horizon on the servicing side, we are committed to making sure FICS customers are never caught off guard and always have the tools they need to succeed."
“System performance isn't a one-time project. Our team is constantly looking at speed, reliability, resource efficiency, and user experience together, because all four matter,” Lynch said. “When we get all four right, the software just gets out of your way and lets you do your job."
Attendees participated in live demonstrations of new product features and enhancements. Special sessions featured comprehensive overviews of system functionality in Loan Producer®, Commercial Servicer® and Mortgage Servicer®. FICS employees and customers shared best practices via open forums and informal conversations.
“This is my second year attending the FICS conference, and the value is unmatched. In the first session, we discovered a feature that would save enough deals to pay for our trip ten times over,” said Joyce Mason, AVP Real Estate and Consumer Lending for IAA Credit Union. “I have attended a lot of conferences over my 35-year long career in the mortgage industry, and this one is tops for useful, hands-on, practical knowledge. The interactions with FICS employees are unlike anything I've experienced. I came back better able to use the system and with new connections across the industry. I can't imagine not attending. This is the first line item in our budget for next year.”
The 2027 Users' Conference will be held April 7th – 9th in Dallas.
