Consilio Expands Aurora Legal AI with Claude for Legal Connector to Advance Secure Legal Workflow Orchestration

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Consilio, a global leader in legal services and technology, today announced the integration of Aurora Legal AI with Anthropic’s newly launched Claude for Legal platform. The integration enables legal professionals to access Consilio’s Aurora Legal AI directly within Claude and query live Consilio matters without moving, duplicating, or exporting client data from Consilio’s secure environment.

Consilio’s first capability available in Claude is Aurora Legal AI Investigate, part of the Aurora eDiscovery Intelligence Suite. AI Investigate allows clients to ask natural-language questions across documents and associated metadata in their active Consilio matters. Queries run against the full matter repository within Consilio’s privately hosted legal AI infrastructure, allowing clients to work at the scale their matters require while maintaining appropriate data control, security, and governance.

The connector is built on the Model Context Protocol, the open industry standard for connecting AI platforms to external tools and data. Users install the connector in Claude and authenticate with their Consilio ID to access their authorized matter repositories. AI Investigate is the first Consilio capability available through Claude, with additional Consilio project and workflow tools expected to follow.

The integration reflects Consilio’s broader strategy of helping legal teams reduce data fragmentation and connect work across the platforms they already use. As enterprise legal departments adopt multiple AI, review, investigation, and matter management tools, the need to prevent new data silos has become increasingly important. Consilio’s approach allows clients to access and act on their legal data from different platforms while preserving where that data resides, how it is governed, and how it is secured.

This launch also underscores Consilio’s position as an enterprise legal operations and workflow partner. Consilio combines global legal services, large-scale data operations, and secure technology infrastructure with proprietary AI control layers designed for defensibility, scale, and workflow intelligence. At the same time, Consilio continues to support platform choice, enabling clients to use leading external AI platforms alongside Consilio’s own legal AI capabilities without requiring them to consolidate all activity into a single system.

It also builds on Aurora’s established adoption, with more than 10,000 active users and nearly 100 petabytes of client data deployed globally. In Consilio’s 2026 Global Survey, 54% of legal professionals cite technology selection and deployment as their top challenge, ahead of work volume for the first time.

“As AI becomes embedded in the daily work of legal teams, clients need secure access to their matter data and legal workflows wherever they choose to work,” said Andy Macdonald, CEO, Consilio. “This integration brings Aurora Legal AI into Claude while allowing client data to remain within Consilio’s secure environment. It reflects our broader commitment to reducing data silos, preserving governance, and giving clients the flexibility to use the platforms that best support their legal operations.”
