CENTENNIAL, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The College for Financial Planning—a Kaplan Company is announcing new undergraduate certificate offerings designed as a powerful on-ramp for career-entry professionals seeking foundational expertise to enter the financial services job market. These programs are built to develop career-ready skills and culminate in a certificate from the College, which is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. In addition, students may have the opportunity to transfer completed coursework toward an undergraduate degree, depending on the policies of their college or university.

Students can customize their education path by choosing one of two certificate programs, which are all offered online:

  • The Undergraduate Certificate in Financial Services program provides a practical introduction to the skills and concepts associated with careers in the financial services industry. Courses emphasize real-world relevance and foundational skill-building to provide students the contextual knowledge needed to enter the business sector and enhance their ability to help clients navigate financial concerns. Students select three courses from four options, allowing them to focus on areas that align with their interests and goals.
  • The Undergraduate Certificate in Finance and the Social Sciences program provides students with insight into the ways in which finance is influenced by and influences social structures, groups and individuals. Focused on real-world relevance and foundational skill-building, the program helps students understand financial decisions in context, preparing them for entry-level roles or further academic study in financial services. This certificate has three course requirements.
