Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia and Northeast Georgia Health System Announce New Multi-Year Agreement

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia today announced a new multi-year agreement with Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS), a leading nonprofit health system serving more than one million people across Northeast Georgia. The agreement ensures Anthem commercial and Medicare Advantage members will continue to have uninterrupted, in-network access to NGHS’s comprehensive network of hospitals, physicians, and specialty services.

NGHS delivers care through a robust system that includes Northeast Georgia Medical Center’s five acute care hospitals, two specialty care hospitals, and a wide range of outpatient and specialty services across the region. With more than 1,000 licensed beds and a Level I Trauma Center in Gainesville, NGHS plays a critical role in delivering advanced, high-quality care close to home.
