Brevet Capital Appoints Joan Hull, CFA, as Director of EB-5 Capital Development

Seasoned executive brings more than two decades of capital formation and investor relations experience with deep expertise in EB-5 finance

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Brevet Capital (“Brevet”), a leading alternative credit, specialty finance and asset-backed finance firm, today announced the appointment of Joan Hull, CFA, as Director of EB-5 Capital Development. In this role, Ms. Hull will lead Brevet’s EB-5 capital raising efforts and contribute to the firm’s broader capital formation strategy.

Ms. Hull brings more than two decades of experience in investor relations, capital formation, and alternative investments to Brevet, with a track record of building and managing institutional relationships across global markets. Most recently, she served as Director of Investor Relations and Communications at CanAm Enterprises, a leading EB-5 regional center operator, where she deepened investor relationships across the firm's global client base spanning offices in New York, Beijing, Shanghai, Mumbai, Ho Chi Minh City, and Singapore.

Prior to CanAm, Ms. Hull led relationship management for the Americas at the World Gold Council. She also spent nine years at International Value Advisers (IVA), where she served as Director of Global Institutional Sales and Director of Communications, overseeing global institutional client and consultant relationships totaling over $5 billion in client assets. In that role, she spearheaded the firm's European market expansion, growing SICAV assets to over $1.5 billion, with firm assets peaking at more than $20 billion during her tenure.

“At Brevet, we have always believed that the most impactful financing solutions require not just rigorous structuring, but the right partnerships and leaders at the helm,” Doug Monticciolo, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Brevet Capital, said. “Joan has spent her career building investor trust in specialized, complex strategies, and that is exactly the experience our EB-5 program needs as we continue to grow. I am confident in the impact she will make at the firm and look forward to what she will accomplish here."

"I have spent more than two decades helping investors navigate some of the most specialized strategies in the market and was drawn to Brevet by it’s ‘finance as a service’ approach to EB-5 financing and its close collaboration with governments across its strategies,” added Ms. Hull. “Brevet has built a compelling EB-5 platform, one with completed projects, meaningful job creation, and a genuine track record of delivering results that resonate with investors. I am excited to join the team and expand the differentiated, high-impact work the firm is accomplishing.”

Earlier in her career, Ms. Hull held business development roles at First Eagle Investment Management, Brown Brothers Harriman, and Bear Stearns. Beyond her professional career, Ms. Hull serves as President and a member of the Board of Directors of the Effort to Empower Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to democratizing access to financial literacy.
