XCharge North America’s GridLink Earns 2026 E+E Leader Award for Innovation in Sustainability

KYLE, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--XCharge North America (XCharge NA), the North American subsidiary of XCHG Limited (Nasdaq: XCH) and a provider of high-power EV charging and battery-integrated solutions designed to strengthen the North American electrical grid, today announced that its flagship product, GridLink, has been named a winner in the 2026 Environment+Energy Leader Awards. The annual program recognizes companies delivering measurable progress in energy management, environmental performance, and sustainability.

Award-Winning Innovation

GridLink was recognized as a 2026 Judges' Choice Winner in the Business + Infrastructure category for its impact enabling high-power charging in locations where traditional chargers cannot be deployed due to grid limitations, cost, or timeline constraints. This recognition reflects XCharge NA’s commitment to delivering measurable results and helping organizations navigate increasingly complex environmental and energy challenges.

Winners span categories including product innovation, project implementation, startup advancement, and organizational leadership.

GridLink combines DC fast charging, energy storage, and bidirectional energy capabilities into a single, infrastructure-grade system. By reducing reliance on utility upgrades and enabling faster, more flexible installation, GridLink expands access to EV charging while improving grid efficiency, resilience, and overall infrastructure scalability. Each unit supports up to 300 kW of DC fast charging while operating on lower-capacity grid connections, eliminating the need for major utility upgrades in many deployments. The system’s dual-input (208V/480V) compatibility expands installation flexibility across diverse site conditions, while its bidirectional capability enables participation in demand response and distributed energy resource (DER) programs, transforming the charger from a passive load into an active grid asset.

GridLink has been deployed at more than 50 sites across the United States and Canada, delivering over 1.1 GWh of energy in 2024, reflecting sustained utilization across commercial, fleet, and public charging environments. The solution reduces required grid capacity by an estimated 50–80% compared to conventional DC fast charging, enabling deployment in locations that would otherwise be infeasible. It also lowers operating costs for site hosts by up to 30% through off-peak energy management and demand charge reduction. In addition, GridLink systems contributed to avoiding approximately 2.91 million pounds of CO₂ emissions in 2024 by reducing reliance on carbon-intensive peak power.

A Testament to Excellence

Recognition from Environment+Energy Leader highlights GridLink as a standout example of innovation and performance in today’s evolving energy and sustainability landscape.

“As organizations navigate an increasingly dynamic and uncertain operating environment, the ability to improve efficiency, reduce emissions, and deliver measurable results has never been more critical,” said Sarah Roberts, Co-President and Publisher of Environment+Energy Leader. “This year’s winners demonstrate the innovation and leadership required to move forward with clarity and impact.”
