Stephen Miller and David Kuperberg have joined Oxford as Senior Advisors. In these roles, Miller and Kuperberg will work closely with Oxford principals to help expand third-party hotel management relationships, support brand and licensing initiatives, and selectively assist with deal origination, investment and acquisition efforts.
Stephen Miller brings more than four decades of hospitality experience across executive leadership, acquisitions, development, and asset management. Over the course of his career, he has held senior roles at leading hospitality organizations including Extended Stay America, Interstate Hotels, Carlson Hotels & Resorts and Wyndham Worldwide. Most recently, Miller served as Chief Executive Officer of Avantic Lodging Enterprises prior to its sale.
As a senior advisor, Miller will focus on supporting Oxford’s third-party management growth by leveraging his industry relationships, expanding the firm’s capital partnerships and applying his transaction expertise, as well as selectively assisting on acquisition opportunities. Miller is based in Dallas.
David Kuperberg brings extensive experience in hospitality brand development and platform expansion. He joins Oxford following his tenure at Hyatt, where he played a key role in the growth of the company’s lifestyle portfolio following its acquisition of Dream Hotel Group in February 2023. Prior to the acquisition, Kuperberg served as Chief Development Officer of Dream Hotel Group, leading global development efforts, and later supported integration and brand expansion within Hyatt’s portfolio.
Earlier in his career, Kuperberg held senior leadership positions at Virgin Hotels and Wyndham Hotel Group. As Senior Director of Mergers and Acquisitions at Wyndham, he oversaw the acquisition of Ramada International from Marriott, a portfolio of more than 200 hotels and resorts worldwide.
As Senior Advisor, Kuperberg will focus on expanding Oxford Hotels & Resorts’ third-party management business and supporting brand and licensing opportunities across key markets. He is based in Los Angeles.
“Stephen and David each bring decades of relevant experience and strong industry relationships that complement Oxford’s existing team,” said John W. Rutledge, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Oxford Capital Group and Oxford Hotels & Resorts. “Their active involvement will help support the continued expansion of Oxford across our owned and third-party management and brand-related initiatives.”
