TurbineOne Awarded Army Contract Through Joint Innovation Outpost

FORT BRAGG, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TurbineOne announced the award of a new U.S. Army contract to accelerate the fielding of its Frontline Perception System (FPS). As an edge-first AI/ML platform, FPS enables automated object recognition and near real-time detection across multi-sensor feeds.

“Through these hands-on evaluations, Soldiers validated that FPS effectively solves a real operational bottleneck: detecting and tracking threats across massive sensor volumes in real time.”

The award was accelerated through the Army’s newly established Lt. Gen. James M. Gavin Joint Innovation Outpost (JIOP) at Fort Bragg, marking a pivotal success for the Army’s streamlined, Soldier-centered acquisition approach.

The contract follows extensive Soldier touchpoints conducted through XVIII Airborne Corps’ Scarlet Dragon experimentation series in 2025. During these exercises, Soldiers provided hands-on feedback to shape requirements, validate operational effectiveness, and ensure FPS integrates seamlessly with real-world mission workflows. Successful evaluations confirmed FPS is a practical solution to a critical operational challenge: rapidly detecting and tracking threats across expanding volumes of video, imagery, electromagnetic spectrum, and other sensor data.

Designed for the warfighter, FPS enables operators to build, tune, and deploy machine learning models at the edge without the need for coding or cloud connectivity. In contested and communications-challenged environments, units can adapt models in near-real time, accelerating detection and reducing reliance on external development cycles.

“This award demonstrates what’s possible when Soldiers are directly empowered to shape the technology they rely on,” said Ian Kalin, CEO of TurbineOne. “Through these hands-on evaluations, Soldiers validated that FPS effectively solves a real operational bottleneck: detecting and tracking threats across massive sensor volumes in real time.”

TurbineOne has deployed FPS across key operational Army and Joint Force formations, automating analysis and exploitation workflows and accelerating time-sensitive targeting.
