Seasoned Operating Executive Joins Firm to Partner with Founders of Mission-Critical Businesses

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sounder Partners, a private investment firm focused on partnering with founders of mission-critical businesses, today announced that Andrew Woodward has joined the firm as Partner. Woodward brings extensive experience leading heavy industrial, infrastructure, and mission-critical businesses from the operator’s seat. His background spans public company executive leadership, strategy, finance, and M&A, reinforcing Sounder Partners’ belief that the strongest outcomes are driven by investors who combine financial discipline with real operating and entrepreneurial experience.

Most notably, Woodward served as Chief Executive Officer of Blueknight (NASDAQ: BKEP), an independent operator of the largest network of asphalt storage, logistics, and infrastructure in the country. He led the company through a strategic repositioning, operational and commercial improvements, and financial strengthening that ultimately culminated in the successful sale of the business and a strong outcome for its shareholders and stakeholders. During his tenure, he worked closely with frontline teams, management, and the board to enhance the company’s operating and financial foundation.

Prior to Blueknight, Woodward served as Principal Financial Officer of Andeavor Logistics, L.P., now part of Marathon Petroleum’s logistics business, MPLX LP. Earlier in his career, he worked in investment banking at RBC Capital Markets, advising energy, infrastructure, and industrial companies.
