Tema Launches First Pure-Play Space ETF to Offer SpaceX Exposure

Fast-growing issuer breaks ground with the Tema Space Innovators ETF (NASA)

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tema ETFs (“Tema”), a leader in institutional-quality and actively managed exchange-traded funds, today announced the launch of the Tema Space Innovators ETF (NASA). NASA is the first pure-play ETF focused exclusively on the modern space economy to include 10% direct exposure to SpaceX, one of the world’s most influential private companies.

The global space economy is forecast to nearly triple by 2035,1 driven by falling launch costs, the rapid expansion of broadband satellite connectivity, growing sovereign defense applications, and the early stages of commercial space exploration. SpaceX sits at the center of these shifts, making it one of the most anticipated IPOs in history and an unrivaled force in modern space innovation.

“SpaceX stands apart as the defining company of the space economy—and for good reason. But the growth in this theme is much broader and accelerating rapidly,” said Yuri Khodjamirian, CFA, Tema’s Chief Investment Officer. “NASA offers investors something that hasn’t existed before: A transparent, actively managed vehicle to access SpaceX alongside the full ecosystem of companies building the space economy of the future.”

Differentiated Structure and Transparent Fees

NASA is actively managed and designed to deliver pure-play exposure to the fast-moving space economy. The fund gains SpaceX exposure through a special purpose vehicle (SPV) provided by Forge, a subsidiary of Charles Schwab, providing investors with institutional-caliber access to one of the world’s most sought-after private companies.

In contrast to many alternatives, investors pay a simple, transparent management fee of 0.75%. All transaction costs, fees, and commissions associated with acquiring and holding SpaceX exposure are absorbed by Tema—providing full fee transparency with no hidden costs.
