Nelson‑Rudie Announces Leadership Additions to Support Growth and Technical Excellence

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nelson-Rudie & Associates Inc. (Nelson-Rudie), a 100% employee-owned consulting engineering firm, announced the addition of Jonathan Burks as director of finance and the promotion of Micheal Anderson, PE, to chief mechanical engineer. Together, these leadership updates strengthen the firm’s operational, financial, and technical foundation as Nelson-Rudie celebrates its 50th year and continues to grow.

Burks brings finance and operations leadership experience to Nelson-Rudie, most recently as senior business operations manager at Comcast.

As director of finance, Burks will lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting while supporting strategic decision‑making across the organization. He will work closely with leadership and project teams to strengthen financial visibility and support Nelson‑Rudie’s continued growth.

Anderson has been with Nelson-Rudie since 2012 and is a licensed professional engineer with experience leading complex mechanical systems projects, including municipal ice arena and recreation facility upgrades, as well as store additions and renovations for a national retail chain. In his new role, he will guide firmwide mechanical practice, support mentorship and technical training, and help ensure consistent delivery across project teams.
