HomeServices of America and Zillow Group Launch New ‘Pre-Market’ Listing Partnership

Eligible listings will have the opportunity to appear in Zillow Preview, a new public, pre- market phase on Zillow and Trulia that gives sellers early exposure on the most visited real estate app and website in the country

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--HomeServices of America, the nation’s premier provider of homeownership services, today announced a partnership with Zillow Group that will give the listings of agents affiliated with HomeServices companies a new way to bring listings to market earlier on Zillow and Trulia, creating additional visibility for their listings and lead opportunities.

Through this partnership, eligible 'coming soon' listings will appear in Zillow Preview before they go active, providing early, public exposure on Zillow and Trulia — part of the most visited real estate app and website in the country

With an average of 235 million unique users a month, Zillow has the #1 U.S. real estate app, with more than twice as many daily active app users as its largest competitor.

The program is available to both HomeServices of America-owned companies, as well as the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices franchise network. The combined entities total more than 75,000 agents and nearly 200,000 listings. Listings that participate in the Zillow Preview program will also offer an additional monetization opportunity for the listing agent.

A listing featured in Zillow Preview will display the name of the brokerage and a way to contact the listing agent, along with enhanced placement and visibility within Zillow's search results so it stands out to consumers browsing homes before they officially hit the market

Consumers who view the Zillow Preview listing will be able to contact the HomeServices company’s listing agent directly.

Once the Preview period ends and the listing goes active in the MLS, it will then appear on Zillow under the standard display rules that apply to all active listings.

Zillow Preview is designed to operate within existing local MLS frameworks. With this and other product experiences, it’s the responsibility of the agent and broker to know and follow local MLS rules. When a listing goes active, it still needs to be entered into the MLS consistent with local rules.

“We are extremely proud to participate with Zillow in a program that further creates visibility opportunities to our sellers’ listings,” said Chris Kelly, President & CEO of HomeServices of America. “The ability to provide exponential exposure at the beginning of the sales cycle is an extremely compelling value proposition and enhances our positioning as the only brokerage that can offer its clients a full homeownership experience under one umbrella.”

“Working with companies like HomeServices of America that share our commitment to transparency is an important part of how we move the industry forward,” said Jeremy Wacksman, CEO of Zillow Group. “Our goal is simple: give consumers access to the information they need to make confident decisions when buying or selling a home.”
