Faire Appoints Former Wayfair CFO Michael Fleisher to Board of Directors

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Faire, the global technology platform transforming wholesale, today announced the appointment of Michael Fleisher, former Chief Financial Officer of Wayfair, to its Board of Directors. Fleisher joins Faire at a period of high growth and will serve as Chair of the Audit Committee, bringing decades of experience leading commerce and marketplace businesses through periods of significant scale and complexity.

As CFO of Wayfair, Fleisher led the company through its IPO and helped scale the business from $1 billion to more than $12 billion in annual revenue. During his tenure, he supported Wayfair’s rapid global expansion and large-scale fulfillment operations. Earlier in his career, he led Warner Music Group’s IPO as CFO and later served as Vice Chairman, Strategy and Operations. He also previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Gartner, Inc. and currently sits on the boards of Squarespace, Goat Group, and First Watch.

“What impressed me most about Michael was not just his track record, but how he thinks,” said Max Rhodes, co-founder and CEO of Faire. “He has a deep understanding of what it takes to scale complex commerce businesses, and he approaches challenges with rigor and curiosity. His perspective will add valuable depth to our board as Faire continues to grow in scale and sophistication.”

Fleisher’s appointment reflects growing confidence in Faire’s fundamentals and comes amid strong performance for the company. In 2025, revenue grew 32%, with growth accelerating to 37% in the second half, now annualizing at approximately $550 million. As independent retailers deepen their engagement on the platform, the company sees substantial opportunity to expand its share of wallet over time, reinforcing its ambition to become the central operating system for wholesale. As Audit Chair, Fleisher will help strengthen operational rigor and financial planning to support this accelerating scale.

“I’m honored to be working with Max, Jason, and the entire team at Faire,” said Fleisher. “I’ve long believed in the power of local retail, having grown up in a family retail business. Bringing the scale and efficiency of a tech-enabled platform to independent retailers and giving them the tools to build stores their communities truly love is a huge opportunity. Faire is well positioned for its next stage of growth, and I’m looking forward to helping the team execute on their vision.”

Fleisher follows the recent board appointment of Christopher Payne, former COO of DoorDash, and will replace Ellie Mertz’s role on the board.
