Ten Spire Global Satellites Arrive at Launch Site Ahead of Upcoming Launch

  • Second launch of 2026 highlights manufacturing cadence and industrial scale of Spire’s vertically integrated satellite platform
  • All satellites were designed, built, integrated, and tested in-house to support diverse government and commercial missions

VIENNA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Spire Global, Inc. (NYSE: SPIR) (“Spire” or “the Company”), a leading global provider of satellite data, analytics and intelligence, announced that all ten of its multipurpose satellites, integrated via Germany’s launch integrator Exolaunch, have arrived at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California ahead of their upcoming launch aboard the Transporter-16 rideshare mission with SpaceX.

The satellites will support a mix of customer missions, government and commercial data collection capabilities, and replenishment of Spire’s fully deployed constellation.

Industrial-Scale Manufacturing, Integration, and Testing

All ten of the satellites were designed, manufactured, integrated, and tested in-house at Spire’s manufacturing facility in Glasgow. Through its vertically integrated satellite platform — spanning in-house design, manufacturing, integration, and operations — Spire is able to deploy satellites at scale, supporting multiple form factors and a range of mission requirements within a single launch campaign.

Eight of the satellites will support customer missions across RF data collection, cybersecurity-focused space capabilities, Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity, and remote sensing image data services. The launch will also include Spire’s seventh Optical Inter-Satellite Link (OISL) satellite, a further development for direct optical communication between satellites, as well as one constellation replenishment satellite.

“Our platform is built for versatility and scale,” said Theresa Condor, Chief Executive Officer at Spire Global. “By designing, building, integrating, and operating our own satellites, we can efficiently deploy new capabilities, support sovereign and commercial missions, and continuously strengthen our constellation. This approach enables persistent, real-time insight that helps governments and organizations better understand what is happening across the planet and plan what comes next with confidence.”

Building Invisible Intelligence Through Persistent “Listening”

With more than a decade of experience operating a scalable, multipurpose small satellite constellation, Spire provides persistent “listening” to the Earth. This global invisible intelligence delivers real-time, predictive understanding of Earth’s operations from space, enabling governments and organizations worldwide to make more informed decisions to address challenges on Earth.

To date, Spire has designed, built, and launched more than 220 satellites across over 40 launch campaigns.
