MTFComm Unveils Breakthrough Wireless Technology Delivering Fiber-Optic Speeds Through the Air
SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MTFComm today announced a major wireless communications breakthrough: its pioneering technology has been successfully extended to deliver speeds of up to 24 Gbps using a standard 160 MHz radio channel. Together with its proprietary multi-user protocol, this breakthrough represents a more than 15-fold increase in the number of active users per antenna compared with today’s multi-user systems operating in the same bandwidth.
This builds on the company's December 3, 2025 announcement of 100× performance gains over existing systems. MTFComm’s technology delivers fiber-optic equivalent performance, using radio waves that are dramatically more power-efficient. The technology is compatible with existing cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and satellite systems.
“Wireless networks have never achieved anything close to this level of performance in such a small amount of spectrum,” said Dr. Michel Fattouche, founder of MTFComm. “Our goal has always been simple: make fast, reliable wireless connectivity available anywhere, without needing more spectrum, more towers, or more power. Today’s results show that this is possible.”
How it works
Instead of carving up the airwaves into slices for each use, as today’s systems do, MTFComm’s approach allows many devices to talk at once, in the same channel, without slowing each other down. This means that significantly more data can be transmitted smoothly, even when there are many devices on the network. This technology significantly improves range, as much less power is required to transmit and receive data. The technology operates within existing regulatory limits, meaning it can fit into today’s wireless ecosystem without requiring new spectrum allocations or changes to standards.
Why it matters
This breakthrough opens the door to reliable high-speed internet all over the globe, in dense urban centers, rural and underserved areas, and even remote environments such as oceans, jungles, forests or deserts. It enables more resilient communication for emergency services and national security, and faster, more reliable connectivity in business districts, homes, ports and factories where millions of devices operate in real time. It significantly lowers the cost of satellite internet while maintaining performance, allowing more users per beam without performance degradation, and provides cleaner, more energy-efficient wireless networks worldwide.
A new era for wireless connectivity
“This is not just an improvement, it’s a step change,” Dr. Fattouche added. “For decades, the world has assumed that wireless capacity could only grow by using more spectrum or installing more cell towers. Our technology shows there is a new path, one that is faster, cleaner, and dramatically more efficient.”
MTFComm is now preparing field trials with partners in telecommunications, enterprise networks, industrial systems, and satellite communications.
