Nokian Tyres will award airfare, lodging and tickets to the tournament semifinals in Zurich, Switzerland, on May 30 for a pair of randomly chosen entrants – one in the United States and one in Canada, plus a guest for each winner. The contest page also offers a chance for ice experts to predict the tournament’s winner and leading scorer, plus information about Nokian Tyres products.

Nokian Tyres is celebrating the first year of a two-year partnership as an Official Sponsor of the tournament, which runs from May 15 through 31. There is a separate contest for tire dealers to win tickets as well, and Nokian Tyres is sharing the campaign through its dealer-facing communications channels.

Nokian Tyres is publicizing the “Carve the Corners” contest on social media. Hockey fans are invited to follow the company on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Threads for updates about the competition, driving tips and hockey talk during the lead-up to the tournament. The company is also partnering with tire dealers and hockey media throughout the United States and Canada to make consumers aware of the campaign in dealer showrooms, podcast discussions and grassroots channels.

Nokian Tyres has long been an elite player on the ice and snow. The tire manufacturer from Finland invented the winter tire more than 90 years ago. Today Nokian Tyres makes winter, all-season and all-weather tires at three factories around the world, including at its award-winning North American facility in Dayton, Tennessee.

The IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship is the world’s largest annual winter sports event, followed by millions of viewers each year. The world’s 16 best national teams will compete for the coveted World Champion title over the course of the 64-game tournament.
