McDowell brings more than 20 years of military and defense industry experience supporting Army and joint mission environments. A U.S. Army veteran and senior growth executive, he is recognized for leading large-scale federal IT pursuits, building high-performing teams, and developing qualified pipelines exceeding $4 billion annually.

Most recently, McDowell served as Vice President of Business Development – Defense at Tyto Athene, where he led enterprise growth and capture efforts across the Department of Defense, resulting in contract awards exceeding $250 million. His experience spans enterprise IT modernization, cyber strategy, and senior-level engagement across the Army, combatant commands, DISA, and joint stakeholders.

In his role at TekSynap, McDowell will lead Army strategy, focusing on customer engagement, enterprise modernization priorities, and growth initiatives aligned with Army and broader Department of Defense missions.
