Balfour Beatty Campus Solutions Announces the Promotion of Amy Aponte to Senior Vice President

MALVERN, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Balfour Beatty Campus Solutions, a leading developer and operator of infrastructure projects for the college and university market, today announced the promotion of Amy Aponte to Senior Vice President, recognizing her longstanding leadership, strategic contributions, and commitment to supporting universities in delivering transformational student housing solutions across the country.

Aponte has been with Balfour Beatty for more than a decade and has played a pivotal role in advancing the Campus Solutions program. Over the years, she has guided complex public‑private partnership (P3) efforts, strengthened university relationships, and helped shape industry‑leading student housing developments. In her new role, Aponte will oversee strategic initiatives, partner engagement, and program development efforts that support the company’s long‑term growth and alignment with institutional needs.

• UNC Wilmington, where she led the P3 partnership for an 1,800 student residential village that transformed the first- and second-year housing experience on campus and won the 2022 Student Housing Business Innovator Award for Best New Development by a College, University or Institution.
• UMass Amherst, where she led a major P3 housing initiative that includes undergraduate, graduate, and family housing to support long‑term campus growth and modernization.
• Wentworth Institute of Technology, where she is leading the development of a state of the art 1,000 bed community which will house the entire first-year class together and enhance campus connectivity and student life.
• Throughout her career, Amy has been deeply involved in shaping student residential strategies and has become a respected voice in the field. She has presented at numerous industry events and been featured in several publications for her expertise in student experience, residential planning, and campus community development. Amy is a graduate of The College of William & Mary and holds a Master of Education.
