Dickey’s Barbecue Pit Thanks First Responders with Free Pulled Pork Sandwich as Winter Storms Hit

Available In-Store or Carry Out Now Through Monday, January 26th

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--As winter weather continues to impact communities across the country, Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants is stepping up to support those on the front lines. In partnership with The Dickey Foundation, Dickey’s is offering a free pulled pork sandwich to first responders actively working during the storm.

From Sunday, January 25 through Monday, January 26, active police officers, firefighters, and emergency aid workers in uniform can visit participating Dickey’s locations to enjoy a hot, pit-smoked pulled pork sandwich as a thank-you for their service during severe weather conditions.

“Proudly supporting those who protect and serve is at the heart of who we are,” said Laura Rea Dickey, CEO of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. “Our goal is to continuously give first responders and their families the support they need to ensure their safety and success in the communities they serve—especially during moments when they’re called on the most.”

The offer is redeemable in-store only and available system-wide at participating locations. Dickey’s will continue to monitor weather conditions and may extend the offer if severe conditions persist.

“Our goal is to continuously give first responders the support they need to stay safe and strong in the communities they serve, especially during times when they are needed most,” said Roland Dickey, Jr., CEO of Dickey’s Capital Group.
