Fastenal Joins Red Cross Disaster Responder Program

WINONA, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fastenal Company (Nasdaq: FAST) has expanded its support of the American Red Cross by becoming a Disaster Responder Program member. Through the program, member organizations pledge to provide financial and in-kind donations year-round, helping the American Red Cross prepare ahead of disasters and respond swiftly when emergencies strike.

The American Red Cross responds to more than 65,000 disasters each year, providing safe shelter, hot meals, emotional support, and resources to aid in recovery. Donations from Disaster Responder members like Fastenal help them pre-invest in disaster relief by training volunteers, staging supplies, and upgrading technology and infrastructure. The contributions also support nationwide disaster preparedness programs as well as long-term recovery efforts.

A portion of Fastenal's donations are directed to the American Red Cross's Service to the Armed Forces program, providing comfort and care to military members, veterans, and their families through a range of services.

Fastenal has worked with the Red Cross since 2012 to conduct local employee blood drives. The collaboration expanded in 2022 with the launch of Fastenal's company-wide "Blue Team Blood Drive" campaign. Through the Red Cross and other blood supply organizations, Fastenal employees have donated more than 4,600 units of blood since the campaign's inception. In 2024 alone, more than 1,200 units were collected through 45 in-person blood drives held at Fastenal locations around the world.
