GE HealthCare introduces Genesis™ Radiology Workspace: a cloud-first solution with a goal for smarter, faster diagnosis

Genesis™ Radiology Workspace is designed to optimize radiology workflows, with a goal to empower diagnosticians to work from virtually anywhere with diagnostic accuracy, anchored by the Genesis™ View, the foundation of the solution that is intended to streamline radiologists’ workflows.

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--GE HealthCare (Nasdaq: GEHC) announced the introduction of Genesis™ Radiology Workspace, a next-generation solution designed to transform radiology workflows, unify the user experience, and empower radiologists with great efficiency and precision. At the center of this innovation is Genesis™ View, 510(k) pending2, a powerful new viewer designed to be a fast diagnostic, zero-footprint viewer – streamlining radiology workflows with the intent to enhance patient care while being fully accessible from any location.

Medical imaging departments today are under immense pressure from all sides including rising imaging volumes and increasing case complexity, all while staffing shortages continue to grow.3 This makes the ability to interpret studies from anywhere essential for maintaining throughput and ensuring timely diagnoses. Studies show that radiologists spend up to 64% of their time on non-interpretive tasks, such as navigating complex interfaces or waiting for images to load—directly impacting productivity and turnaround times.4

Genesis View is built for optimizing the radiology workspace with the goal to empower diagnosticians to work from virtually anywhere with diagnostic accuracy, designed to deliver high-performance 2D/3D visualization, and AI-driven tools. It will seamlessly integrate with GE HealthCare’s fully managed Genesis portfolio of cloud solutions. Also, it is designed to have direct access to the full suite of Advanced Visualization (AW) viewing applications.

“With Genesis™ Radiology Workspace, we’re redefining how radiology is practiced,” said Scott Miller, CEO, Solutions for Enterprise Imaging at GE HealthCare. “By combining cloud-native accessibility with embedded AI and advanced visualization, it is designed to enable diagnostic imaging professionals to work smart, fast, and from anywhere—without compromising diagnostic accuracy. This innovation is intended to address the pressures radiology departments face today, streamlining workflows, reducing cognitive burden, and ultimately improving patient care.”

Genesis™ Radiology Workspace is designed to give radiologists the freedom to read from anywhere—without sacrificing speed or accuracy. Its high-performance visualization adapts to individual reading preferences and automatically displays the current and prior studies, helping to save time and reduce cognitive load. User defined AI prioritization provides the capability to bring critical findings to the top to ensure there is visibility. Genesis View is designed to provide the capability for radiologists to reject/modify the AI findings provided by 3rd party AI apps based on their review. Finally, interoperability powered by FHIRcast ensures smooth integration with EMRs and other healthcare systems—positioning Genesis Radiology Workspace as a cornerstone of connected care and a gateway to the cloud.

Genesis Radiology Workspace will be displayed at the Radiological Society of North America’s (RSNA) 2025 Annual Meeting from Nov. 30 to Dec. 4 in Chicago, in booth 7334. Visit here to learn more about GE HealthCare’s enterprise imaging solutions.
