This craveable fusion of pine, ginger, and sage captures the essence of the outdoors to elevate your favorite cold or hot coffees, teas, mocktails, craft cocktails, and sparkling refreshers. This new flavor is part of Torani’s Puremade syrup collection, made with pure cane sugar, no artificial flavors, and colors from natural sources.

“We’ve seen a shift in consumer interest toward botanical and foraged flavors,” said Andrea Ramirez, consumer & customer market insight manager at Torani. “Forest Pine reflects where consumer curiosity is headed, building on the foundation laid by more familiar botanicals, such as lavender. It taps into the rising demand for nature-inspired, sensory-rich experiences, and we’re excited to introduce this flavor more broadly to the U.S. market. It really feels like a taste of adventure in every sip.”

Rooted in the growing movement of nature-inspired and botanical-infused artisan beverages, Torani Puremade Forest Pine Syrup captures the spirit of foraged ingredients, elevating them into a flavor that is comforting, nostalgic, and refreshing. While pine often evokes winter and holiday traditions, Torani Puremade Forest Pine Syrup transcends the season, offering a distinctive flavor that enhances a wide variety of beverages all year long.

Rooted in Research: Consumers Are Embracing Wild, Botanical Flavors

Forest Pine wasn’t crowned Flavor of the Year based on taste alone. Torani’s team of market researchers and food scientists spent countless hours uncovering emerging consumer and marketplace trends that pointed to pine as the next big thing in flavor. After well over a year of global flavor trend research, Forest Pine was ultimately selected out of over 100 potential flavors to become the 2026 Flavor of the Year.

Torani Puremade Forest Pine Syrup hits the market at a time when botanical and foraged flavors are moving from niche to mainstream. According to Datassential, lavender has grown 34% over the past four years, paving the way for wilder, more woodsy notes like pine to shine. Pine’s aromatic freshness has long been featured in Nordic cuisine and is now beginning to appear on more U.S. café and cocktail menus. Mainstream U.S. brands are also releasing more botanical-inspired offerings in line with this trend, such as Poppi’s ‘Alpine Blast’ soda and Dunkin’s ‘Blueberry Breeze’ refresher with juniper.

Datassential research shows that 54% of consumers associate “foraged” flavors with innovation and adventure, while studies indicate that the smell of nature—including “woodland” and “forest” scents—can have a positive impact on physical and mental well-being.

Flavor for a Cause: Turning Taste Into Opportunity

A “people-first” company at its core, Torani has spent decades expanding its impact from the inside out, creating meaningful jobs, opening career pathways, and supporting people from all backgrounds in building great futures. 100% of Torani’s profits from Forest Pine Syrup will go to seven non-profit organizations across the country: American YouthWorks, East Bay Innovations, Echoing Hope Ranch, Farming Hope, Juma Ventures, New Door Ventures, and SparkForce.

These organizations are dedicated to connecting at-risk youth, adults with intellectual disabilities, and justice-impacted individuals with valuable work readiness training and first job opportunities, many of which are connected to the outdoors. As a certified B Corp and “opportunity company,” Torani is committed not only to creating amazing flavor, but making a tangible impact in the world.

“Forest Pine isn’t just a breakthrough in flavor innovation,” said Torani CEO, Melanie Dulbecco. “It also embodies our belief that flavor can create opportunity. Through this launch, every bottle sold helps open doors for people to build brighter futures.”
