Veradigm Adds Sentara Health Plans to Veradigm Payer Insights Solution

Major Mid-Atlantic and Southeast US Health Plan to Deploy Integrated Care Gap Alerting in Early 2026

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Veradigm® (OTCMKTS: MDRX), a leading provider of healthcare data and technology solutions, announced today a new agreement with Sentara Health Plans, a prominent regional health plan, serving more than one million members. Sentara will implement the Veradigm Payer Insights software solution to deliver patient-specific care gap alerts within the electronic health record (EHR) systems used by its network providers.

Veradigm Payer Insights displays critical care gap alerts directly into the provider’s existing EHR workflow. This seamless integration empowers healthcare payers to support their provider networks in closing gaps in care, resulting in improved patient outcomes, reduced costs, and higher overall satisfaction for both patients and providers.

The solution has seen rapid adoption across the U.S., with nearly 17,000 practices onboarded and over 600,000 patient alerts delivered to date.

Veradigm’s impact was recently recognized by KLAS Research, which awarded the company with a 2025 KLAS Points of Light Award for the successful integration of Veradigm Payer Insights at Metroplex Medical Centres in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas.

“Veradigm is leveraging its deep physician practice expertise to enable health plans and providers to collaborate on closing critical gaps in care for their members,” said Donald Trigg, Veradigm Chief Executive Officer. “The value proposition for Sentara is clear. Patients get the care they need. Providers aren’t asked to leave their EHR workflow. Unnecessary costs are avoided.”

Sentara is one of the largest integrated health systems in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast U.S. and ranks among the top 20 largest not-for-profit health systems nationwide. With 34,000 employees, 12 hospitals across Virginia and Northeastern North Carolina, including 10 with prestigious Magnet®️ recognition, Sentara is committed to advancing quality care.

“Sentara is focused on equipping our network providers with tools that can improve outcomes while lowering costs,” said Tim Skeen, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Sentara Health. “We look forward to implementing Veradigm Payer Insights as part of our ongoing efforts to support our provider network and the communities we serve.”
