BlackFog Appoints Former Yahoo CFO Kenneth A. Goldman to Board of Advisors

Industry veteran to support BlackFog’s enterprise growth and leadership in AI-based data exfiltration prevention

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BlackFog, the leader in AI-based anti data exfiltration (ADX) technology, today announced the appointment of Kenneth A. Goldman, former Chief Financial Officer of Yahoo! Inc., Fortinet, and Siebel Systems, to its Board of Advisors.

Goldman’s appointment comes as BlackFog accelerates its enterprise expansion and reinforces its mission to prevent data loss from ransomware, with the next evolution of ADX to be announced in the coming weeks.

Pioneering AI-Driven Data Exfiltration Prevention

BlackFog has rapidly emerged as a cybersecurity innovator, pioneering real-time AI-based ADX technology that prevents unauthorized data from leaving any device. Building on its proven success in blocking external threats, BlackFog’s solution now extends its protection to safeguarding enterprises against the rise of insider threats. The company’s unique approach enforces cross-platform, egress-level policies to prevent threats from bad actors.

As enterprises grapple with growing insider threats, BlackFog’s ADX provides CISOs with an effective solution to block unauthorized data flows to untrusted destinations without the complexity of traditional Data Loss Prevention (DLP) systems.

Kenneth A. Goldman’s Strategic Role

Goldman is a highly respected financial executive with more than four decades of experience leading global technology companies through transformation and growth. Best known for his role as CFO at Yahoo (2012–2017), he has also held leadership positions at Fortinet and Siebel Systems. Goldman currently serves on the boards of RingCentral, Fortinet, Kodiak Robotics, and C3.ai, and brings deep expertise in financial governance, operational scaling, and strategic execution for pre-IPO companies.

“Ken’s experience scaling world-class technology organizations will be invaluable as we expand our enterprise reach and launch the next evolution of ADX,” said Dr. Darren Williams, Founder and CEO of BlackFog. “His insights will help accelerate our mission to stop data exfiltration and protect enterprises from the risks of insider threats.”

“BlackFog’s focus on preventing data exfiltration and insider threats addresses one of the most urgent challenges in cybersecurity,” said Kenneth Goldman. “I’m excited to support the company’s growth and vision.”
