The Standard Promotes Zaur Akhriev to Assistant Vice President of Fixed Income

PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Standard Insurance Company (The Standard) announced today that Zaur Akhriev has been promoted to assistant vice president of Fixed Income.

In this role, Akhriev provides both leadership and strategic direction to the fixed income portfolio management team, focusing on strategic asset allocation, portfolio structure and credit risk.

Akhriev joined The Standard in 2007 as an investment analyst in Retirement Plans. He transferred to the Fixed Income team in 2012 as a portfolio manager and was promoted to senior director of Investments in 2022 after serving as interim leader.

Akhriev earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in finance from Portland State University and a master’s degree from the University of Oregon’s Lundquist College of Business. He also holds Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst credentials.
