Village Caregiving Expands Affordable In-Home Care Across Wisconsin

Mission-driven home care agency now approved to accept Medicaid, making essential caregiving services accessible to more seniors, families

BARBOURSVILLE, W. Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Village Caregiving (VCG), a mission-driven, privately-owned home care agency in the United States, today announced its approval to accept Medicaid in Wisconsin, broadening access to compassionate, in-home support for seniors and families across the state.

Through the Supportive Home Care (SHC) and Chore Services programs, Wisconsin Medicaid recipients can now use their benefits to cover VCG’s trusted caregiving services, including help with daily activities such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, grocery shopping, bathing, transportation and companionship.

“We see the staggering need for care around us everyday. No senior should have to choose between financial stability and living safely at home,” said Jeff Stevens, co-founder and CEO of Village Caregiving. “Due to the rigorous requirements of Medicaid, many home care agencies do not accept the payment source. Unfortunately, this shuts out many low-income families. By partnering with Wisconsin Medicaid, we’re breaking down barriers so more families can access the care and dignity their elderly loved ones deserve.”

The need in Wisconsin is great as there were more than 1.2 million individuals enrolled in Medicaid in 2023 statewide. Of those enrolled in the program, 1 in 4 individuals (24%) are ages 65+ or have disabilities, according to KFF.

Rooted in values of integrity, honesty, and compassion, VCG is committed to ensuring every client receives high-quality, personalized care. Its culture emphasizes strong ethics and rigorous compliance standards as the foundation for all operations.

VCG currently operates in Eau Claire, Green Bay and Madison, employing more than 154 caregivers who serve 325 seniors and families statewide. The company first entered Wisconsin in 2021, steadily growing to meet the increasing need for in-home support that enables seniors to remain independent, comfortable and connected.

The company’s expansion into Wisconsin follows recent approvals to accept Medicaid in Indiana (2025), as well as Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia and Wyoming (2024) — marking another milestone in Village Caregiving’s mission to make affordable, dignified care available to seniors nationwide.
