AdvancedMD Now Gives Small Mental Health Practices an Affordable, Cloud-based Practice Management, EHR, and Patient Engagement Platform

AdvancedMD Now lowers the barrier to entry for mental health providers launching new practices or running small, cost-conscious clinics by offering a robust, affordable, and quick to implement medical office software suite

SOUTH JORDAN, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AdvancedMD, a provider of cloud-based healthcare software for independent medical practices, today announced the launch of AdvancedMD Now, a unified practice management, EHR, and practice engagement platform designed specifically for mental health practices with up to three providers. The cloud-based platform has been built with all the standard features of the AdvancedMD software suite—including the ability to add and manage patient demographic, clinical, and billing information—but designed to meet the specific needs of small mental health practices. AdvancedMD Now is being rolled out with an introductory 30-day free trial offer.

A 2024 Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) report revealed the U.S. is experiencing a substantial shortage of mental health providers, with more than one third of the population residing in areas that lack adequate mental health services. Meanwhile, the need for mental health providers has never been greater: the American Psychiatric Association reports one in five U.S. adults has a diagnosable mental disorder.

According to Amanda Sharp, CEO, AdvancedMD, “Mental healthcare is a crucial component of the healthcare experience—our own research shows 67% of private practices have a behavioral specialist on staff. We know that there is a dire need for mental health services across the country. Our goal is to ensure mental health providers have access to effective, low-cost software solutions that allow them to launch and scale their own practices. AdvancedMD Now is an affordable platform that is quick to implement and designed specifically for small mental health groups or solo practices. Our goal is to give mental health providers the tools they need to run and scale their business without having to cut corners on features and functionality.”

The AdvancedMD Now 30-day free trial lowers the barrier to entry for practices that require robust functionality without high upfront costs or complex onboarding processes. With AdvancedMD Now, mental health providers get:

  • A self-service, unified practice management, EHR, and patient engagement platform with full clinical and billing capabilities.
  • Purpose-built workflows designed specifically for behavioral health providers with templates and tools aligned to the DSM-5 criteria.
  • Charting solutions that support long-form clinical documentation, treatment planning, and progress planning.
  • Features that support mental health-specific needs, such as assessments, severity disorder monitoring, and outcome-based care.
  • Integrated telehealth capabilities to conduct remote sessions and patient engagement tools that reduce no-show rates and improve continuity of care.

AdvancedMD Now can eliminate the need for multiple technology vendors or manual data transfers. It also removes traditional hurdles often associated with medical office software, such as complex setup processes and overhead.

Customers who continue to use AdvancedMD Now after the 30-day free trial will be given a $130 per-month, month-to-month subscription with no long-term contract needed. The monthly subscription fee will be charged automatically on a recurring basis for as long as the customer wishes to use the solution. For more information, visit: AdvancedMD Now.
