Deutsche Bank Recognized as First-Ever Advisor of the Year for the 2025 American Gambling Awards

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The American Gambling Awards today recognized Deutsche Bank as Advisor of the Year, honoring the firm’s role as exclusive financial advisor to Intralot S.A. in its €2.7 bn acquisition of Bally’s International Interactive business (“BII”). The new award builds on the former Dealmaker of the Year category, which Deutsche Bank won in 2022 and co-won in 2024, and now celebrates the broader strategic, financial, and legal advisory contributions that help shape the gambling industry’s future.

The American Gambling Awards, produced by Gambling.com Group Limited (Nasdaq: GAMB) ("Gambling.com Group" or "the company"), celebrate the top companies and executives driving progress across the gambling industry and are widely regarded as a benchmark for excellence in the sector.

“Deutsche Bank is honored to be named Advisor of the Year,” said Reza Akhavi, Global Co-Head of Real Estate, Gaming, Lodging & Leisure at Deutsche Bank. “To be recognized by awards in three of the last four years reflects our team’s global footprint and commitment to advising clients on their most strategic decisions and delivering innovative financial solutions in an evolving industry.”

“Advising Intralot on its acquisition of Bally’s International Interactive required navigating multiple jurisdictions, complex financing structures, and long-term strategic considerations,” said Vishal Lokre, Managing Director at Deutsche Bank. “We are proud to have supported a transaction of this scale and significance, and to continue to serve as a trusted partner to our clients across the gaming sector.”

Deutsche Bank advised Intralot throughout the ten-month cross border acquisition process, providing strategic advice, regulatory guidance, and financing leadership. The firm played a lead role in structuring and underwriting the financing package, and actively executing the loans, bonds and equity issuance that enabled the successful completion of the deal.

“Congratulations to Deutsche Bank on being named Advisor of the Year,” said Gambling.com Group co-founder & Chief Executive Officer, Charles Gillespie. “This new category recognizes the importance of strategic, financial, and legal advisory in shaping the gambling industry’s future. Deutsche Bank’s leadership in the Intralot–Bally’s International Interactive transaction exemplifies the kind of expertise and guidance that empowers clients to navigate complexity, unlock opportunities, and drive meaningful progress across the sector.”
