Texas Super Lawyers Names 12 Hicks Thomas Partners Among the Top Attorneys in the State

Two attorneys earn Rising Stars honors

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hicks Thomas LLP proudly congratulates 12 firm partners who have earned recognition in the 2025 edition of Texas Super Lawyers, a highly respected legal listing that honors only 5% of attorneys in the state.

Hicks Thomas honorees include John B. Thomas, J. Stephen Barrick, John J. Deis, Courtney E. Ervin, Robin L. Harrison, Stewart E. Hoffer, Gregg C. Laswell, Stephen M. Loftin, Paul L. Mitchell, Brian C. Pidcock, Allen H. Rustay, who were recognized for excellence in business litigation, and John B. Shely, who was honored for general litigation.

Mr. Thomas and Mr. Hoffer are marking their 23rd consecutive year on the Texas Super Lawyers list. It is also the eighth year Mr. Harrison has earned a Super Lawyers “Top 100 Houston” designation, which positions him as one of the best business litigators in the city.

Attorneys Allison Fisher and D. Ryan Cordell, Jr. were named to the list of Rising Stars, a designation honoring the top 2.5% of the state’s best young attorneys. To be considered, a lawyer must be under the age of 40 or have been practicing for less than 10 years.
