Against this backdrop appear Ramza, third son of House Beoulve, one of Ivalice's leading military families, and his childhood companion Delita, a commoner raised amongst nobles, who find themselves on opposing sides of a war brewing within the kingdom.

The game is brought to modern platforms by a team that bridges generations, combining original creators with a new roster of talent. Returning to the project are Kazutoyo Maehiro (Director), Hiroshi Minagawa (Art Director), and Yasumi Matsuno (Original Script, Scenario Writer, and Editor), whose visionary work defined the original.
