The announcement comes as Grafana Labs exceeds $400 million in annual recurring revenue and expands its customer base to more than 7,000 organizations worldwide. Customers include some of the world’s most recognized brands such as Anthropic, NVIDIA, Salesforce, and Microsoft.

These milestones follow a year of industry recognition, including being named a Leader in the 2025 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Observability Platforms and the furthest in Completeness of Vision, and ranking #13 in the Forbes Cloud 100. Grafana Labs also continues to be a leader in open source, as one of the top company contributors to the OSS projects OpenTelemetry and Prometheus, as well as ranking in the top 50 global organizations by GitHub stars.

“This investment reflects the strong confidence our investors have in our vision for open, AI-powered observability,” said Raj Dutt, CEO and Co-founder of Grafana Labs. “It also underscores a broader shift we’re seeing in the market: every company is becoming a software company. As the technology they use becomes a competitive advantage, we help them move at the speed of their ambitions, whether that means monitoring infrastructure, business outcomes, or even moon landings.”

“Enterprises are confronting increasingly complex digital landscapes, which is only going to accelerate with AI adoption. There is a clear need for solutions that help companies optimize their systems with speed and clarity,” said Rick Prostko, Senior Managing Director, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan. “With Grafana Labs, we see a leading observability platform that empowers its growing list of customers with smarter decision making by giving them real-time insights across their entire technology stack. And, as the company continues to innovate its product offering with AI-driven solutions, we see them well positioned for future growth.”

Innovating in the open, for the open ecosystem
Built on open source, open standards, and open ecosystems, Grafana Labs helps businesses innovate without lock-in and move fast without compromise. Over the past year, the company has made it easier and quicker for users to unify disparate telemetry, explore data in natural language, and automate insight-to-action with Grafana Cloud:

  • Faster Insights, Less Complexity: With Grafana AI Assistant, users can now explore data, build dashboards, and generate queries in plain language, dramatically reducing the time from question to answer.
  • Higher-Value Telemetry, Lower Costs: Adaptive Telemetry intelligently identifies high-value telemetry and filters out the rest, helping teams maximize observability ROI by reducing noise and cost.
  • Simplified Troubleshooting: Drilldown Apps deliver an intuitive, query-free experience so teams can quickly pinpoint and resolve issues before they impact customers.
  • Unified Monitoring at Scale: New cloud-native monitoring capabilities in Synthetic Monitoring, Cloud Provider Observability, and Fleet Management make it easier to manage performance and reliability across infrastructure, cloud providers, and distributed environments – all in one place.

Grafana Labs’ innovation and company momentum also continue to be recognized across the industry:
