(“Global Telecom”), a leader in hardware, software, and AI-powered connectivity solutions for fixed wireless and Internet of Things (IoT) markets, is pleased to announce that Dr. Michael S. Irizarry has joined the company as Chief Technology Officer.

About Michael Irizarry

Dr. Irizarry brings more than 30 years of experience in telecommunications, technology leadership, and operations. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President and CTO of UScellular, overseeing information systems, strategic operations, network build-out, and technology innovations including 5G and Voice-over-LTE (VoLTE).

Prior to UScellular, he held senior roles with Verizon, Bell Atlantic Mobile, and Paging Network, Inc., building a reputation for driving performance gains, customer experience enhancements, and forward-looking network architecture.

Dr. Irizarry holds advanced degrees in engineering, information management, and communications technology, and has completed executive management training at the University of Chicago. He has served on multiple industry boards and remains active in professional organizations such as IEEE and the Association for Computing Machinery.
