Frontdoor and American Home Shield Celebrate National Tradesmen Day

September 19 recognizes the essential role of electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians and other skilled tradespeople

MEMPHIS, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Frontdoor, Inc. (NASDAQ: FTDR), the nation’s leading provider of home service warranties, is celebrating National Tradesman Day today.

“On National Tradesman Day, we proudly recognize the skilled Pros whose craftsmanship, dedication, and grit power our industry forward. Their work doesn’t just build structures – it builds trust and communities. We’re honored to work with independent contractor tradesmen today and every day,” said Bill Cobb, Frontdoor’s chairman and chief executive officer.

National Tradesman Day is celebrated annually on the third Friday of September to honor the skilled tradespeople who build, maintain, and repair communities and infrastructure. The day recognizes the vital contributions of electricians, plumbers, carpenters, welders, mechanics, and other trades professionals, highlighting their essential role in society and encouraging appreciation for these skilled careers.

“We work with thousands of highly professional, independent contractors across the country,” said Jacob Watson, Frontdoor’s vice president of contractor relations. “They, along with our Experts through video chat using the AHS and Frontdoor apps, help us to service our over two million members. We are grateful for all that the contractors and our Experts do.”

To encourage careers in the skilled trades, Frontdoor initiated a scholarship program earlier this year to help people already enrolled in trade school to complete their education.

Video chat feature available as a benefit to AHS members with select plans. See AHS.com for hours and details.
