MediaCo’s EstrellaTV Continues Strong Momentum in Final Weeks of Broadcast Season

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--EstrellaTV, the multiplatform Spanish-language network owned by MediaCo Holding Inc. (Nasdaq: MDIA), announced today continued ratings strength as the current broadcast season nears its close, delivering competitive gains and consistency in key audience demographics.

With just two weeks remaining in the season, EstrellaTV has out-delivered UniMás in 52 separate hours of weekday prime (Monday–Friday, 7–11pm)—a dramatic increase from only nine hours in the same period vs. prior year. This represents nearly six times as many hours of outperformance versus last season.

EstrellaTV is also showing resilience in a competitive marketplace. The network is currently matching its prior year P18-49 weekday prime delivery, while major competitors Univision (-11%), Telemundo (-15%), and UniMás (-18%) are all posting double-digit declines in the demo.

In addition, EstrellaTV has now delivered above its season-to-date P18-49 Monday–Sunday prime average for five consecutive weeks. The network is also pacing ahead of its prior year quarterly prime average among P18-49, marking the second straight quarter of year-to-year growth in the key demo.

“EstrellaTV’s consistent growth and competitive strength highlight the strong connection our programming has with U.S. Hispanic audiences,” said Brian Fisher, Chief Revenue Officer at MediaCo. “As the broadcast season closes, we are proud to be delivering year-over-year momentum while other networks are seeing declines.”
