Avetta’s Katie Martin Honored for Closing the Gap Between ESG Ambitions and Supply Chain Readiness

Martin receives 2025 Women in Supply Chain Award from Women in Supply Chain Forum

LEHI, Utah & HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Avetta®, the leading provider of supply chain risk management software, today announced that Katie Martin, Director of Sustainability and Innovation at Avetta, has been named a recipient of the Women in Supply Chain Forum’s 2025 Women in Supply Chain Award. Each year, this awards program—a joint initiative between the Women in Supply Chain Forum and Supply & Demand Chain Executive—celebrates female supply chain leaders and executives whose accomplishments, mentorship and examples set a foundation for women in all levels of an organization’s supply chain network. Martin was awarded for her work helping Avetta and its customers close the gap between environmental, social and governance (ESG) ambitions and supply chain readiness.

While companies often make bold sustainability commitments, most of the risk and opportunity sit with their suppliers, many of which may still be building the expertise, tools and infrastructure to meet ESG expectations. In her current role leading both internal Avetta sustainability initiatives as well as Avetta’s ESG product development, Martin helps hiring clients and suppliers design and operationalize better supply chain sustainability programs by innovating AI-powered ESG risk assessment tools and supplier due diligence processes that drive year-over-year improvement.

“I’m truly honored to receive this recognition,” Martin said. “I’m passionate about solving practical sustainability challenges at scale, particularly those that are often overlooked such as the barriers suppliers face in understanding and implementing ESG best practices. This award is an important reminder to all that this work matters, and it provides even more motivation for me to keep driving solutions that make sustainability more accessible and actionable across the entire supply chain.”

Martin is among a distinguished group of women recognized this year for not only achieving measurable impact, but also setting a standard for what forward-thinking leadership looks like in a rapidly evolving field.

“Regardless of the disruptions, economic uncertainty and other industry challenges, these Women in Supply Chain Award winners are doing remarkable things for their communities, organizations and teams,” said Marina Mayer, Cofounder of the Women in Supply Chain Forum and Editor-in-Chief of Supply & Demand Chain Executive. “In correlation with the theme of this year’s Women in Supply Chain Forum, these female logistics leaders are rising up. They’re strengthening leadership pipelines, enforcing a people-first leadership approach, spearheading new product introductions and transforming the way the industry views women in supply chain. I couldn’t be more proud of this year’s winners.”

Martin along with this year’s other winners are featured on Supply & Demand Chain Executive's website and will be recognized at the 2025 Women in Supply Chain Forum, set to take place Nov. 18-20, 2025, in Clearwater Beach, Florida.
