Echodyne Selected as Radar Provider in the Australian Defence Force’s Counter-Drone Program, Project Land 156

Echodyne’s MESA® radars to support Leidos Australia’s efforts to deliver cutting-edge counter-drone capabilities for the ADF

KIRKLAND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Echodyne, the radar platform company, is pleased to announce that it has been selected as the radar provider within the Australian Defence Force’s Project Land 156, the Australian government’s effort to equip the ADF with continuous counter-drone capabilities. The Project intends to modernize the ADF in the face of new technology and an evolving threat landscape.

Echodyne is proud to contribute radar expertise to the project and its newly announced systems integration team leader, Leidos Australia, and alongside EOS Australia, which already incorporates Echodyne radar into its Slinger RWS, Acacia Systems, L3Harris Technologies and Department 13.

“We are pleased to be selected as part of the Leidos Australia team for the Australian Defence Force counter-UAS project, Land 156,” said Eben Frankenberg, CEO of Echodyne. “As C-UAS solutions become ever more critical to mission success and dismounted soldier safety, Echodyne’s COTS architecture allows us to quickly respond to increasing global demand for our advanced MESA radar systems.”

Echodyne’s 4D metamaterials electronically scanned array (MESA) radars are perfectly suited to support C-UAS initiatives, locking optical sensors for “eyes on object” and reliable precision tracking for mitigation platforms and effectors. Rooted in the belief that data fidelity makes all the difference to C-UAS mission success, Echodyne radars generate the most accurate data for detecting, tracking, targeting, and mitigating UAS intruders.
