A tireless advocate for victims of corporate negligence, Ms. Dean is widely recognized for her groundbreaking work in mesothelioma and asbestos litigation. She has played a leading role in securing numerous high-profile verdicts on behalf of individuals harmed by asbestos-containing products, including landmark cases against Johnson & Johnson related to its talc-based Baby Powder.

“I really am overwhelmed by the selection and wholeheartedly appreciate being a finalist among such inspiring women,” said Ms. Dean, who mostly recently was named by The National Law Journal to its Elite Women of the Plaintiffs Bar. “This recognition is a reflection of the strength of our clients and the work our entire team puts in every day.”

Ms. Dean has secured millions of dollars for her clients across the nation, including $45 million awarded by a Chicago jury in the death of a mother of six, Theresa Garcia. The case was delayed by Johnson & Johnson’s attempts to exploit the bankruptcy system.

“Anyone who knows Jessica is not surprised that she has been named a finalist,” said name partner Trey Branham. “Jessica’s passion is grounded in the pursuit of restoring dignity and bringing accountability to our clients.”

Texas Lawyer says its Influential Women of the Year award honors “Texas' best women lawyers who have made a remarkable difference in the legal profession” and those “who have demonstrated exceptional skill in their fields.”
