Now in its fifth year, Forbes 50 Over 50, presented in partnership with MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski and her Know Your Value initiative, honors women over the age of 50 who are breaking barriers and shaping the future across business, technology, arts, and social impact.

Appointed to her role at HSBC in 2024, Oden oversees the bank’s wealth management, private banking, and retail businesses in the U.S.—a strategic focus for HSBC as it deepens its commitment to serving globally connected, high-net-worth individuals. Prior to joining HSBC, Oden held executive roles at JPMorgan Chase, Merrill Lynch, UBS, and Morgan Stanley, where she earned a reputation for driving growth and building inclusive leadership teams.

A daughter of first-generation immigrants, Oden is a fierce advocate for education and equity. She currently serves as Chair of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, which provides scholarships and mentorship opportunities to thousands of students attending historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs).

“Racquel Oden’s inclusion among this prestigious cohort reflects a career of consistent leadership, resilience, and influence at the highest levels of the financial industry,” said MSNBC Anchor Mika Brzezinski. “She exemplifies Know Your Value and 50 Over 50.”

“I am honored to be included in the Forbes 50 Over 50 list, which recognizes women who are leading with courage, wisdom and conviction,” Oden said. “I am excited to share this recognition with my team and our clients at HSBC. Together, we are building stronger communities that will grow and thrive, lighting the way toward a brighter future for the next generation."

The 2025 50 Over 50 list features 50 honorees in the Investment category of the awards.
