Subway Canada hits a hole-in-one with Happy Gilmore, launching a limited-time Happy Gilmore Meal and Collectible Cups

Starting July 10th, Subway guests can find their ‘Happy Place’ and upgrade any meal to a Happy Gilmore Meal for $1, receiving a limited-edition collectible cup.

TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nearly 30 years after its memorable role in Happy Gilmore, Subway is stepping onto the tee box once again to help Happy Gilmore return to the top of the golf world in Happy Gilmore 2, premiering on Netflix July 25th. To celebrate the revival of this iconic partnership, Subway and Netflix are teaming up to give fans special access with the Happy Gilmore Meal, available at Subway restaurants across Canada starting July 10th.

Subway guests can make any combo a Happy Gilmore Meal for $1 more and receive one of four limited-edition collectible cups*, featuring fan-favourite characters from the movie franchise:

  • Happy Gilmore: the legendary golfer himself
  • Shooter McGavin: Happy’s PG tour rival and nemesis
  • Hal: The former Silver Acres orderly
  • Oscar: Happy’s new caddie in Happy Gilmore 2

“Few films have transcended generations and inserted themselves into popular culture quite like Happy Gilmore,” said Courtney Hindorff, Managing Director of Subway Canada. “Subway Canada is thrilled to partner with Netflix, giving fans more ways to enjoy their favourite subs and to celebrate Happy’s return in Happy Gilmore 2.”

Guests can celebrate all things ‘Happy’ by collecting all four cups; however, they are available only for a limited time, while supplies last.

*At participating restaurants across Canada. Add a collectible cup to any Combo for $1, plus applicable taxes. 1 cup per Combo. While supplies last.
