The Official Bourbon of the U.S. Army set to debut on June 14

OWENSBORO, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Green River Distilling Co., the 10th oldest licensed distillery in Kentucky (DSP-KY-10), will commemorate the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary with a limited release whiskey marking the milestone. The official anniversary bourbon will be available throughout the next year, beginning next month.

Founded on June 14, 1775, the establishment of the U.S. Army predates the signing of the Declaration of Independence and marked a critical moment in the colonies’ pursuit of freedom. Woven into the fabric of American history—including a longstanding connection to the armed forces—Green River’s legacy spans generations of service, craftsmanship and national pride.

The commemorative release will debut on June 14, 2025. Presented at an Army Strong 111.1 Proof (55.55% alc. by vol.) in a nod to Veteran’s Day (November 11), this limited bottling will be available at a suggested retail price of $49.99. Green River's Army 250th Anniversary edition is a small batch selection of 4- to 7-year-old barrels featuring a distinct mashbill of 77 percent corn, 14 percent rye, 9 percent malted barley. It will be available at select military bases, Green River’s homeplaces in Owensboro and Louisville, and select online and physical retail locations throughout the country.

This full-bodied Kentucky bourbon displays caramel, black cherry, cocoa, and peppermint. The rich mouthfeel of toffee and toasted oak leads to a lightly spiced, bold finish that’s wholly distinct to this official whiskey honoring the U.S. Army.
