"Run Rich Run" Top Draft Pick for Charitable Giving, Benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Rich Eisen’s 40-yard dash at iconic Rose Bowl Stadium to air during NFL Network’s 2025 NFL Draft coverage

INGLEWOOD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--NFL Network’s Emmy-nominated host Rich Eisen’s annual “Run Rich Run” fundraising campaign strides into its third decade this year. Fans around the globe can tune in to watch the event benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® during NFL Network’s coverage of Rounds 4-7 of the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Saturday, April 26 at 6 p.m. ET.

Support from fans, celebrities and business leaders has raised more than $7 million for kids with cancer and other life-threatening diseases since St. Jude became the charitable beneficiary of the annual event in 2012. Run Rich Run benefits St. Jude through support from the NFL’s PLAY 60 youth health & wellness initiative.

“It’s an absolute blessing to have the chance to turn this silly notion of running a straight line in my dress suit into anything meaningful for the angels at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the crucial research they conduct, the families they assist and the sweet children whose lives they save,” said Rich Eisen. “I can’t thank my friends and colleagues at the NFL, NFL Network and the Rose Bowl enough for their support. It all humbles me more than my 40 time.”

This year, NFL Draft audiences will see Eisen, sprinting in his trademark suit and tie at the Rose Bowl, as he’s cheered on by St. Jude patients Ian, 17 and Lizzie, 13, who were both diagnosed with different forms of brain cancer when they were just 16 and 18 months respectively.

"Rich Eisen’s longstanding dedication to helping kids and families at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is outrun only by his ability to rally support from the NFL community and fans worldwide,” said Ike Anand, interim CEO of ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. “We are grateful to Rich, the NFL and every person who chooses to support this mission. Their generosity helps St. Jude continue advancing research and treatment for kids like Ian and Lizzie in the U.S. and around the world.”

Run Rich Run received significant contributions this year from Baltimore Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti, sports executive Tony Khan, business executive and entrepreneur Marc Lore, NFL Network and NFL Foundation. NFL greats Todd Gurley and Trai Turner attended the event to support Eisen and St. Jude. Fundraising events like this help ensure that families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – so they can focus on helping their child live.

Eisen’s commitment to charity was recognized formally in 2017 when he received the Pat Summerall Award at the Legends for Charity® dinner during Super Bowl LI week in Houston. Additionally, Eisen received the prestigious St. Jude Ambassador of the Year Award in October 2021 for his selfless support of the lifesaving mission of St. Jude: Finding cures. Saving children.®

Since 2012, the NFL has partnered with St. Jude through the NFL PLAY 60, the league’s youth health and wellness initiative to get kids physically active for at least 60 minutes a day. This year the NFL teamed up with Run Rich Run and St. Jude to provide an NFL PLAY 60 activity zone and provided PLAY 60 health and wellness kits, including resources that promote living an active life, to St. Jude patients who participated in the Run Rich Run event.

Eisen is the host of the Emmy-nominated “The Rich Eisen Show” which airs Monday-Friday on The Roku Channel.
