Easterly Asset Management Appoints José Cervantes and Cameron Zokaei as Senior Vice Presidents of Sales

BEVERLY, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Easterly Asset Management (“Easterly”), home to investment teams providing investors with a portfolio of solutions across alternatives, active equity, and active fixed income, today announced the appointments of José Cervantes as Senior Vice President of Sales, Midwest, and Cameron Zokeai as Senior Vice President of Sales, Southwest.

Cervantes and Zokaei will report to Phil Juliano Jr., Head of Sales at Easterly. Leveraging their decades of combined experience, Cervantes and Zokaei bring an established track record of driving relationship management and sales growth within independents, wirehouses, RIAs, and other private wealth channels. Their experience includes spearheading business development across various investment vehicles through a diverse range of asset classes, which will further expand Easterly’s curated solutions reach with private wealth investors.

Today’s appointments come as Easterly has considerably expanded its distribution team across the US over the past year, including the addition of Phil (PJ) Juliano Jr. as Head of Sales in March 2024, following his decade-long tenure at BlackRock where he last served as Head of the BlackRock iShares U.S. Asset Manager Group. Since his appointment, Easterly's distribution team has experienced rapid growth, with hires including:

  • John Carbone as Senior Vice President of Institutional Sales in June 2024;
  • Todd Marion as Senior Vice President of Private Wealth, Mid-Atlantic, in July 2024;
  • Genna Brounstein and Jennifer Cahill as Senior Vice Presidents of Private Market Sales in September 2024;
  • Tom Aitken and Peter Mastropietro as Senior Vice Presidents of Private Market Sales in October 2024; and
  • Paul Citarell as Senior Vice President of Sales, Northeast, in February 2025.

Cervantes joins Easterly after 15 years at Advisor Asset Management, where he was most recently a Vice President and Regional Sales Consultant, developing relationships with the investment adviser communities in Illinois, Indiana, and Southern Wisconsin. Throughout his career, Cervantes has held various roles in financial sales, relationship management, and investment advisory, including positions at Prudential Financial, Chase, Goldman Sachs, and Claymore Securities. He holds Series 7 and 66 licenses, alongside a Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) designation.

Prior to joining Easterly, Zokaei spent the past decade at Capital Group. He last served as an SMA Relationship Specialist in Los Angeles he was responsible for capital formation and territory management efforts for separately managed accounts through financial advisers, broker-dealers, and intermediary clients based on the West Coast, Canada, as well as those based off-shore. Earlier in his tenure at Capital Group, Zokaei served as a Senior Portfolio Consultant and Internal Wealth Specialist based in San Antonio, where he was responsible for relationship and territory management, specializing in high-net-worth clients. Zokaei began his career at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management as a Wealth Advisory Associate, providing investment advisory services and financial planning consulting. He holds Series 7 and 66 licenses and is CFA Charterholder.
