“Being awarded this honor from Green Builder Magazine underscores MITER Brands’ commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation,” said Dean Ruark, Vice President of Engineering and Innovation, MITER Brands. “Diamond Glass is a breakthrough in impact-resistant glass and a testament to our ongoing efforts to offer energy-efficient, environmentally friendly products that are also easy to install.”

Engineered to deliver the next generation of impact resistance, Diamond Glass is a laminated glass that is nearly half the weight of most impact glass on the market. It provides exceptional protection against hurricane-force winds and intrusions, as well as noise pollution and UV exposure.

Diamond Glass is up to 37% thinner than traditional laminated glass and reduces material use by as much as 40% per square foot. At almost half the weight, Diamond Glass can also offer significant labor and transportation cost-saving benefits, requiring fewer people to install the products and less fuel to deliver them.

Diamond Glass pairs ultra-low iron soda-lime glass with ultra-thin architectural glass from Corning Incorporated, a world-leading innovator in glass, ceramic, and materials science. The combination creates an inherently more durable and scratch resistant glass compared to traditional laminated glass, while significantly reducing the thickness of the product. Diamond Glass also features exceptional clarity, even with tints and high-performance Low-E coatings.
