Ventiva ICE9 system detects and combats dust, creates new industry category for thermal management

FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ventiva®, the leader in thermal solutions, today announced an enhancement to its ICE9™ thermal management system: intelligent software control. The intelligent system controller enables the ICE9 solution to act as an advanced air quality detector, detecting and defeating dust and airborne contaminants to ensure optimal system performance in laptop computers and other electronic devices.

Dust is a fact of life, and no electronic device is completely immune to its effects. With our enhanced intelligent software controller, we are able to defeat dust and mitigate system degradation over the lifetime of a product.

Overheating is one of the most common causes of laptop failure. As processors become more powerful, their heat output intensifies, making effective cooling systems essential for maintaining performance and reliability. However, traditional cooling solutions such as fans and vents are often blocked by dust, hair, and other particles.

Ventiva’s ICE9 thermal management system uses Ionic Cooling Engine (ICE®) technology to cool electronics devices without moving parts, noise, or vibration. With the enhanced, intelligent system controller, the innovative air-cooling system is able to dynamically respond to the device environment, enabling it to identify and combat dust throughout a product’s lifespan to prevent overheating and system degradation.
