As mobile networks continue to evolve, operators face the increasing cost of power, higher demands on environmental conditions, and demands to lower maintenance costs. The CSR180 is designed to address these challenges, offering a carrier-grade platform with a lower power consumption, and fanless passive cooling for less component failure possibility, providing higher reliability for telecom operators.

The CSR180 delivers seamless connectivity and efficient data transmission in modern telecommunications infrastructure. Key features include:

  • Versatile Port Configuration: Equipped with 4 x 1G/10G SFP+, 8 x 1G SFP, and 4 x 1G RJ-45 ports, the CSR180 offers flexible deployment for diverse network needs.
  • High-Performance Switching: Built on the Broadcom Qumran-UX BCM88273 switch silicon, the router delivers a full line-rate Layer 2 and Layer 3 forwarding capacity of 32 Gbps, ensuring robust data handling capabilities.
  • Industrial-Grade Design: The CSR180 features a compact 1RU form factor with a depth of 240 mm and a temperature-hardened design, allowing it to operate reliably in environments ranging from -40°C to 65°C.
  • Redundant Power Supplies: To enhance reliability, the router comes with fixed, load-sharing, redundant AC or 48VDC power supply units, ensuring continuous operation even in the event of a power supply failure.
  • Fanless Passive Cooling: The CSR180 employs a passive cooling design without internal fans, reducing maintenance needs and enhancing durability.
  • Open Networking Compatibility: Pre-loaded with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), the CSR180 supports various network operating systems, including Open Network Linux (ONL) and IP Infusion OcNOS, providing operators with the flexibility to choose the software that best fits their network architecture.

The CSR180 is now available for deployment. To learn more about its features and benefits, visit: https://www.edge-core.com/product/csr180/. For more information, please contact sales@edge-core.com.
