Lasserre to begin role on April 1st, leading fast-growing business of Saint-Gobain in Canada

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Saint-Gobain, global leader in light and sustainable construction, announces today the appointment of Jean-Claude Lasserre as Chief Executive Officer of Saint-Gobain Canada, effective on April 1st, 2025. Currently the Global CEO of Saint-Gobain Surface Solutions, Lasserre brings to Canada 30+ years of experience within the Saint-Gobain Group in Europe, Africa, Asia, Americas.

Lasserre’s appointment follows the transformational leadership of former Saint-Gobain Canada CEO, Julie Bonamy, who in her tenure managed nearly $4B in strategic acquisitions of Kaycan, Building Products of Canada and Bailey Group of Companies to complement the existing CertainTeed product portfolio. With a comprehensive range of interior and exterior building solutions, the company is well positioned for accelerated growth in the Canadian market.

  • The Group continues to work towards its operations to provide Canadian-made products, with preliminary work underway the Antrim Gypsum Project in Halifax County, Nova Scotia, with construction expected in 2026.
